Does anyone have problems with their family members? The problem I have is that I feel like my mother doesn't care about me, I feel like because she doesn't always buy me dinner when we're out, or she doesn't come to my house and make me a cuppa or make dinner for me, or help me to tidy my house, or help me with my money problems, then she must not care. Also, I very badly fell out with my brother 3 years just before his son was born, and I have never met his son and my brother says I am not allowed his photo, my mother stands by his decision and will not give me a photo, because of this I feel like she is taking his side and not standing up for me. Every other time I meet her within an hour I am angry with her and blaming me for all my problems. I feel like I can't go on like this and was wondering if anyone else has this problem. P.s. my doctor took me off Depakote 3 months ago and since then a lot if my anger has come back. Canchito

I was put on Abilify during the day and that has helped me with my anger, also, I am trying to be 'mindfull' and in 'wise mind' as they say in DBT Group. I did alot of research and it helped me understand alot, but it doesnt help control my emotions. I say just do a little research, no one knows yourself better than you and maybe you can find the right medication for you, or the right therapy.

My mother tries as hard as she can to understand, but for some reason I still don't believe that she wants me around. My brother (who lives with my mother and I) says that all my problems are my fault and I just don't try hard enough. My father has narcissistic personality disorder and is very abusive, and has only gotten worse with age. I only see him maybe once or twice a year at family events. He also told his whole side of the family that all the family problems were my fault and that I ruined his marriage and got him kicked out of the house. It's too difficult for people who haven't experienced this to really understand what we're going through most of the time, and unfortunately it tends to be our family that gets most of it, since they're the ones that really see the most. I hope you find a medication that helps you out soon.
