I wish i was anorexic again..wouldnt be hard to do just stop eating. anyway i rant i have 2 kitties bettylynn named after my most FAVORITE singer/actress Betty Buckely from 8 is enough ,she played abby.. then theres jesse a big orange baby who thinks hes a laptop and we have a dog named bo and a guina pig named harry littlebottom i LOVE LOVE LOVE theatre my fave food is chinese and mexican my fave drink is mr pibbs my fave icecream is mintchocochips i ADORE stevie nicks i was adopted found bmomther 6 years ago this month my fave web site is here well its getting late so i am off to bed i might think of some more stuff later. take these broken wings and learn to fly again. Learn to feel so free.

Everything I have experienced has led me to where and who I am now, and I don't mind being where and who I am. Why are you here: Because I like it here and it helps me work out my "stuff." How long have you known you have BPD: 21 years What stage of recovery are you in: Very advanced maintenance. I see a therapist 2-3 times every week and a psychiatrist once a month. I have a good life, but I'm very high maintenance. I guess I would like to add that I've been married to the same person for 26 years. I have 5 children and one grandchild. 3 of my children are adults and 2 are adolescents. I work part-time in an art gallery/bead store where in addition to sales I also teach classes in jewelry making. I am also a jewelry artisan. I play volleyball both for leisure and competitively on both a women's and a co-ed team. I have had some college, but no degree. My first hospitalization was during my college years when I was involuntarily committed in a "catatonic" state to a county mental hospital for "observation". I have a family history of mental illness with 3 of 4 siblings in my family of origin being diagnosed with BPD and other mental disorders. If you want to know more...just ask. Em

Changed therapists to one who specializes in BPD--she says I don't have it, tho I do have some traits. (I have MDD, bipolar II and PTSD) Went to DBT anyway, which was very helpful. Ought to be taught in schools. What stage of recovery are you in: Right now I"m significantly healthier than I was 3 yrs ago, but I think I will always be a work in progress. I wouldn't dream of ending therapy, which I attend weekly. I see my pdoc every 2 months. You can't cross an ocean if you don't set your site off the shore...

I would like to add that I have been on this site for 2/3? years and I have found the people here are really great - intelligent, capable, willing to help, and experiencing and struggling with many of the same problems as me. Over the years we have had some really good discussions on a variety of subjects.

Meds are working okay, except for the cutting. I am a recovered bulimic, but am now grossly overweight, but happier thanks to the meds on both counts (guess you can't have everything)
