Posts: 3710 (09/24/02 21:16:34) Board and Chat Moderator Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Tags : None will this get us chatting? i'll go first. 1) i was born in connecticut 2)been in florida since 1981,and don't like the darn heat!!! 3)i love Sea World 4) i started writing short stories with illustrations when i was only 7yrs old! 5) i smoked cigarettes when i skipped school in the 5th grade-was deathly ill for days!! 6)tried them again at age 18-out of pure peer pressure-lasted a few wks 7)haven't touched them since i hated high school 9)i was in and out of an all girls christian boarding school for a few yrs as a teen 10)i've never gotten a speeding ticket 11)i once had sex on the hood of a car- in the parking lot of a nightclub-it was 'breakup sex'!!! 12)i don't like to dance unless it's a special occasion 13)i quit school in 7th grade 14)i skipped 8th grade and was placed right into 9th 15)i took college level english comp. in 9th grade 16) i have gone to college twice,and haven't gotten my degree-it's in the future!! 17)after jakob was born,i found a list of names i had written when i was pg back in 95-the name jacob was on the boys side!! that pg ended in mc. 1 i still have a little bit of guilt over not being able to nurse jakob longer than i did 19)i hope to have another baby one day 20)i want a boob job 21)i hate liver 22)i don't care much for steak,only sirloin tips 23)i love broccoli 24)i'm all for a night of drinking every few months or so!!!been wayyyyy too long!! 25)i have hope that i will find true love **** "Forgiveness is giving up all hope for a different past." - Unknown

That's alot, especially because I'm a private person, but I'll try. Here goes: 1....My hair is light brown going gray. 2....I have blue eyes. 3....I'm half hispanic, 1/4 Irish-English mix, and 1/4 German-Polish mix. So yes...I'm a Heinz 57. 4....I'm the youngest of 4 girls. 5....I have 5 children and 3 of them are girls (3 of the only 4 girls of 15 children born to me and my sisters. They have all boys except one has a girl, too. 6....I'm an accomplished pianist. 7....I'm an accomplished vocalist. 8....I'm very skilled at almost all needle work. I can knit, crochet, quilt, cross-stitch, do needle-point, latch-hook, silk ribbon embroidery, clothing construction and alterations(seamstress), applique and fabric art, smocking......etc. 9....I'm a beadworker/jewelry maker. (I absolutely LOVE beads) 10...I play competitive volleyball in a league. 11...I volunteer in my children's schools and have taught music, made costumes, painted backdrops for plays, etc. 12...I have taken private art classes and consider myself a fair artist, though I've put aside the easel for my beads at the present. 13...I've been married 23 years. 14...I've had several extramarital affairs. 15...I attended a private university, but never graduated. 16...I have coached and referreed little kids soccer. 17...I collect blue and white cookie tins, or any sort of blue and white tin. 18...I also collect cobalt blue glass bottles. 19...I collect vintage buttons. 20...I was a "thespian" in high school. 21...I've been in some type of counseling or therapy since 1971, the past 17 years with the same therapist. 22...I love word games, like boggle, scrabble, crossword puzzles, etc. 23...I'm very competitive. 24...I don't cook. 25...I was first runner up in a talent/beauty contest in college. I MADE IT! PHEW! That's alot of things to come up with. Quite a mix of casual and serious revelations, too. Sorry for jumping around, I was just opening my mind and seeing what fell out. Hope that knowing more about me won't make you like me less. Em

I have short hair and I wish it were long. 3. I have luscious big lips for which I was made fun of when I was a kid. Now they are SEXY. 4. I have two cats, Nosey (Nose-ums, Nosey-Mouse, Mousey-Girl, Zum-Zum) and Gray-Boy (Gravy Boat). 5. I have a mostly hate-hate relationship with my body; I think I weigh too much (160 lbs. for a 5'3" frame), yet I don't SI. 6. I have light green colored irises encircled by a thick black line. 7. I just quit smoking about 3 months ago. Before that I smoked for about 4 years. Imagine that--I STARTED smoking in my 30s! (dumb) 8. I am a librarian and I usually hate reading. 9. I had an affair on my first husband; that's what ended my first marriage. 10. I am married to my second husband and he totally gets on my nerves, yet I am more happy in this marriage than in the last one. I will never have an affair again. 11. I am no longer sexually attractive to men. I don't get those looks anymore. 12. I am pretty damned smart, although taking Lithium for 4 years pretty much wiped out a lot of my memory. 13. I am liberal. 14. I have a six-year-old son. He is very sensitive and very smart. He is reading with the second grade classes even though he's only in first grade! I am very proud of him. 15. I get sick on carnival rides. This summer I threw up on the midway after riding two rides. (Oh the embarrassment!) 16. I used to be a traveler, until I got into a wreck about three weeks ago. Now I'm afraid every time I get into the car. 17. I think that certain women are extremely beautiful and I am attracted to them, but I don't feel sexually attracted to them, so only consider myself a latent homosexual. 18. I am married to an alcoholic. 19. I like to eat just about any kind of food. 20. I love to eat. 21. I love my mom and don't like my dad. 22. I am distant from my brothers. 23. I get along well with my ex-husband. 24. I think sex is gross. 25. I am irresponsible at work and surf the net and write e-mails and posts all damn day long. Melissa

(his name is bear bear) haha 7) I was a daycare teacher for 10 years. I live in a fairy tale dream world... and have since I have been a little girl. 9) I hate holidays! Every single one of them and dread when they come around. 10) It is extremley rare for me to be late for things... but my bills are constantley late. 11) I love to learn now but quit school when I was in the 9th grade and then got my GED 12) My favorite drink is 7 and 7 (but I no longer drink) wish I could. 13) I love silver jewlrey... rings especially, and never take my jewlrey off. 14) I love to talk on the phone and the computer 15) I'm pretty clumsy and fall down a lot. haha I just fell yesterday going into the bank and I couldn't get up not because I was hurt but because I was laughing so hard at myself. (I have this huge bruise on my wrist from it though. 16) I write a lot of poetry. 17) lima beans are my favorite vegtable. 1 I like to do my nails and my favorite color to paint them is blue although they have been blue so long that I just changed the color to boring red. 19) sex for me is very unimportant at this point in my life, 20) I love the smell of play dough and tar and musty basements. ??????? don't ask haha 21) I hate loosing in games and I really am a child when it comes to playing so I try not to play. I will throw pieces and say the other person cheated. Although I have become better in this area. 22) I like to go boating (especially in the ocean) and go as fast as we can. That is SO fun! The rougher the better. 23) I love hearts and angels. 24) I like to walk in the rain 25) last one... I wish I was rich so that I didn't have to worry about money anymore. Hey that was pretty fun... Speaking about wishes.... we should do one like this about wishes.... like if you had 3 wishes what would they be. XXX SUE

They say money doesn't buy happiness, but I'd be mighty happy if I never had to worry about money.

So here goes 1. I have brown curley hair, hazel eyes and I'm 5'10 2. I've been married for 20 years 3. I have a seventeen year old son who I adore. He is involved in the marching band at school, plays varsity basketball and has a GPA of 3.7 4. I'm ashamed to say that I never finished high school but have been working at finishing for a couple of years now. 5. I suffered from depression since I was very little and always had severe anxiety. My home life and mother didn't help me. 6. I've always worked up until the last several years. I worked as a Barber and I worked in hospitals. 7. I love to cook and my favorite food is home-made macoroni and cheese. Its comfort food. 8. I love waking up early and having that first cup of coffee. It tastes so good. 9. My husband and I have bought and fixed up old houses we've had several and my favorite was an Victorian Colonial Revival built in the 1800's. Our current house is a 1920's Arts and Crafts bungalow. 10. My favorite color is red 11. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area so theres always lots of places to go. The mountains are 3 hrs away and the oceans about 45min from me. 12. I love to go to the Mendocino coast which is in Northern Ca. Its very pretty. 13. I met my husband on a blind date. I had a date with an Alvin and an Ivan. Alvin wanted to take me to play Bingo. I jpicked Ivan. 14. I have a dog named Scooter and shes part Airdale and part Lab. Shes so sweet, her little face looks like a sea otter. 15. I like to read 16. I have a twin brother 17. I still have my stuffed animals from when I was little 18. I work 2 times a month in a thrift store 19. I need a vacation 20. I like the holidays except when we have to go to St. Louis or K.C to be with my husbands family. 21. I don't like cleaning but like a clean house 22. I try to eat healthy but latley I've been having cravings for Apple Fritters 23. I like to have my hair done and I like make-up 24. I spend way to much money on clothes. I like to shop. 25. I watch alot of news. Especially MSNBC and Fox. Whew! that was hard

I was born in Illinois, also lived in NJ and currently in CT. 2. I am 46, Caucasian, 5 ft.8 in. and 147 lbs. 3. I am divorced and have sole custody of my 2 sons, ages 14 and 12. 4. My profession is veterinary medicine. I co-own a small animal practice with 3 doctors and 12 support staff. 5. I own 4 dogs and 3 cats. 6. I am head-over-heels in love with a Sgt.Major in the U.S. Army stationed at Ft.Bliss in El Paso, Texas. 7. I am an accomplished singer. 8. Also an adequate pianist/organist for my church. 9. My #1 goal is to become an accomplished guitarist, currently taking a back burner but I will resume it shortly. 10. I am a cowgirl- feel right at home sitting in a Western saddle. I was CT Junior Barrelracing Champion (a rodeo event) in the mid-1970's. Haven't ridden in a while though, going to have some very sore muscles! 11. I love to cook. 12. I really love to eat! My favorite type of food is Mexican, but I also enjoy Chinese, Italian, and German cuisine. 13. This winter I am going to learn how to ski. My BF is an expert and works on a ski patrol. His first-aid skills might come in handy! 14. I am a perfectionist, which isn't a bad trait for a surgeon, but not so great when it comes to being a Mom. I have to constantly watch that I am not placing too-high expectations on my sons. 15. Camping is my favorite summertime activity. I own a nice pop-up camper and we use it for vacationing. 16. I have two great phobias- fear of heights and also of falling. Ladders make me break out into a clammy sweat. 17. I love to garden. Canning and dehydrating are side-hobbies for me. 18. Sewing is another of my hobbies. I make all of my own surgical drapes and pack wraps for work, as well as surgery scrub tops and smocks. 19. I am a lousy dancer, and that bugs me to no end! 20. I am pretty handy with simple repairs such as plumbing and small appliances. I also know my way around a push lawnmower and do some of my own car maintenance. 21. I'm considering the possibility of going back to veterinary school to become a board-certified surgeon specializing in orthopedics. This may have to wait until my sons have completed high school. 22. I do not enjoy playing video games or watching my sons play them. I get terrible headaches watching the movement. 23. With the exception of my sons, I do not have any other family. I am an only child, and my deceased parents were only children also, therefore leaving me with no extended family. It makes for very boring family reunions! 24. I love to swim and water-ski. I live close to the Long Island Sound and enjoy walking on the beach. 25. The #1 thing I need to work on is controlling my temper. It can be very explosive and nasty. Hope you're still awake! Posts: 110 (09/28/02 11:18:13) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	maybe doing this will liven up this totally boringly quiet saturday morning for me... 1. i grew up in IL but have lived in FL for 28 yrs--i still miss the change of seasons 2. my brown hair is turning grey and my eyes are more green than anything else 3. i gained 30 lbs on meds, and i weigh more that i have ever weighed in my life, even when i was pregnant, and i'm mad 4. i just got divorced after 27 yrs of marriage 5. i have 2 children who are 19 and 22 6. i am living on my own for the first time in my life and it's scary 7. i have visited montana and really liked it--i want to go back 8. i like being near some kind of body of water-- river, lake, or ocean--have always liked watching and listening to moving water 9. i also like mountains, and there aren't any in FL 10. i just bought a new car--the first major purchase i have made as a single person 11. i have spent 7 yrs in college and have an associates degree in nursing 12. i like to read but spend too much time online these days to get much done! 13. i like a variety of music 14. i used to sing in the choir in church, until the director practically gave me a nervous breakdown and i quit 15. i have recently started to do some needlework again after not doing it for years 16. i love animals but i don't have any pets right now 17. i'm not a good cook, but i like to eat 18. i drink more alcohol than i should 19. "family gathering" type holidays like christmas and easter make me anxious--i absolutely hate hallowe'en 20. i never had an affair while i was married, and don't miss sex at all 21. my relationship with my mother is very volatile, and i'm friendly with but not very close to my 2 siblings 22. i am terrible at sports and always have been 23. i need to get more exercize 24. i am volunteering at a clinic for the working poor, and i hope to get back to a real job soon 25. politically i am quite liberal, and my father must be spinning in his grave i guess 26 would be that i don't think i'm very interesting--i wish i could think of funny or slightly outrageous things to say about myself, but my mind comes up blank there... sari "i made some studies, and reality is the leading cause of stress amongst those in touch with it. i can take it in small doses, but as a lifestyle i found it too confining."--jane wagner
